Scottish Wrestling Network feature #2: “The Scottish History of the UEWA European Heavyweight Championship” up now

Ecstasy of Gold Wrestling have only gone and joined the Scottish Wrestling Network lads. “The Scottish History of the UEWA European Heavyweight Championship” is up there now. It details the history of the inter-promotional Union of European Wrestling Alliances in Scotland which began with its inception in 2009, and the ongoing legacy of the Scots on the UEWA European Heavyweight Championship.

Covering everything from Drew McDonald challenging James Mason to the brief but internationally significant reign of Drew Galloway, title-for-title matches in Insane Championship Wrestling, the heartbreak of Lionheart’s final match, and the ongoing record-setting reign of Andy Roberts, who has held the title for so long that he has a different last name now.

This is the second EOG article for SWN (see: “Beyond the Universe: Five Sports Entertaining Opponents for Andy Roberts”) and I’m really glad to be a part of the site. SWN is an excellent resource on the past and present of Scottish wrestling, whether you want to know which shows are happening next week or if you want to know what folk like Noam Dar, Alba Fyre, Drew McIntyre, Joe Hendry, Jack Morris or Gallus were up to before their big overseas contracts.
